My name is Ashlee Green, and I am a sixteen-year-old homeschooled artist, author, photographer, bookworm, and gamer. For as long as I can remember, I had been enthralled by the world of books of all genres, my personal favorites being the Diary of Anne Frank, Harry Potter, I am Malala, and Persepolis. Since I was around ten, I got into writing my own stories, starting with memoirs, fiction, non-fiction, songs, and poetry. Within the past few years, I’ve taken interest in competing, partaking in NaNoWriMo, and getting published in Canvas: Literary Magazine. I am very big into the arts such as photography and sketching, both of which I have done since I was a young child. I also hold many other passions including gaming, nature, music, Hamilton, history, broadways, and natural living.
Overall, people call me unique, quiet, and intelligent, often weird along the mix. I entertain myself through words, creating my own languages, and melting into the world of the American Revolution. Some of my many goals are to become a published author, essayist, and poet, as well as do travel photography and owning a natural stone jewelry business. One can say my biggest inspiration for these goals are from people such as Alexander Hamilton, Virginia Woolf, William Shakespeare, Marjane Satrapi, Malala Yousafzai, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Lin-Manuel Miranda, J.K Rowling, and more.
I have to say, the biggest part of my inspiration is my large family: my parents, Katie, Juliet, Caleb, and Abigail. I take the role as the oldest, watching over, guiding, and inspiring my younger siblings for their futures. As a large family, we explore the countryside; travel to the ocean, rainforest, mountains, and cities; hike, and spend time together gaming, laughing, and being a family. I also have a group of amazing friends to thank for this journey thus far, standing by my side no matter what and also being critics and fans of my artwork and writing.
I wish to bring to you all a few things: my artwork, photography, writing, and other creative pieces as well as to share other artists with you. For instance, on the “Submit Your Work” tab, you can submit your own Creative Thinking Well pieces, such as songs, artwork, stories, and so forth, and I will share it with everyone on here. This blog is a place to get inspired and join the Creative Thinking Well (CTW) crew made up of the most unique, brilliant people who want to share their skills and experiences. Thank you for reading, and I hope you decide to join our adventure as creative, original thinkers!
